Pairing up the
pages
With my ugly paste-up in hand I turn to the type and work my way through the
galleys, breaking off pages, making any adjustments that I decided on, and
correcting any mis-casts or errors that I detected when I first proof-read the
galley proofs. Each page is tied up and placed on a galley with the other page
that falls on the same side of the same sheet - here I have put the type for pages 25 and 32 on the galley. When I've finished, the galley rack contains a galley for each side
of each sheet that makes up the book and all is ready to go.
