Keeping a record

Two things are important for good printing: record-keeping and chocolate biscuits, both of which can be seen in this shot. We try to keep good records of how each sheet of each book was printed, not least so that a sheet can be redone if necessary, similar sheets can be set up more quickly, and lessons can be learnt for the future. Before a book is started, a detailed 'paste-up' is made showing what will be on every page.
