An exhibition of the original watercolours in The Bricks of Venice, 10-28 January 2007

The gallery space was a fine stone-walled room on the first floor of the palazzo. All sixty-six pictures arrived safely from England in two crates on a barge pulled up outside the palazzo, spot on the appointed day and hour. We had given ourselves two days to help the family set up, but we were done in a day and had a day for just being in Venice, always a pleasure at any time of year and an opportunity on this occasion to go for what we think are the best views of the city: from the top of the campanile of San Giorgio in Isola, in the middle of the lagoon and looking across the city.
